This section explains how CurricuLLM is built and managed to keep teachers and students safe, protect privacy, and ensure the tool is used responsibly.
CurricuLLM is designed for education first. That means it follows strict rules around student privacy, content safety, and curriculum alignment. Teachers and administrators don’t need to become legal experts, but it’s important to understand the basics of how CurricuLLM handles data, safety, and responsibilities.
10.1 Privacy and Data Protection
- Minimal data collected → Accounts are created using school logins (Google or Microsoft). Only names, emails, and school details are stored.
- No prompt training → Anything typed into CurricuLLM is not used to train AI models.
- Regional storage → Data is stored securely within the region, with strong encryption and regular audits.
- Control → Teachers, students, and schools can request corrections or deletion of their data by contacting [email protected].
10.2 Student Safety
- Age appropriate → Student accounts are for learners aged 10+, with filters in place to block harmful or distracting content.
- Content filters → Admins can set strict filters (e.g. block profanity, violence, unsafe topics).
- No direct marketing → CurricuLLM does not target students with advertising.
- Parental notification → Templates are provided so schools can inform parents about how student data is managed.
10.3 Responsible Use
